Stainless Steel 316 Flat Bars are made up of about 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, all with a carefully controlled carbon content. The addition of molybdenum greatly boosts resistance to pitting, chloride attack, and chemical corrosion. SS 316 flat bars boast a tensile strength of roughly 515 MPa and a yield strength close to 205 MPa, along with impressive ductility and impact resistance. They are mostly non-magnetic when annealed, offer good weldability, and retain their mechanical strength even at high temperatures, making them perfect for demanding structural applications.
