Hemi Metals, based in Hamilton New Zealand, is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers. It manufactures high-quality stainless steel products, such as stainless steel polished bars and rods. It is known for delivering the highly durable precision engineered solution in stainless steel for various sectors like construction, automobile, and even medical and manufacturing sectors. Hemi Metals offers stainless steel polished bars and rods with utmost care for the strict quality standards. It is designed to offer excellent corrosion resistance, strength, and aesthetic appeal. Products are designed to suit functional and decorative applications to satisfy customers in any industry.
Stainless steel polished bars and rods usually contain iron, chromium (12-18%), nickel (8-12%), and small percentages of carbon (0.03-0.08%), manganese, silicon, and molybdenum. The presence of high amounts of chromium is responsible for its corrosion resistance. Nickel increases ductility and toughness. Mechanical properties include tensile strength of 520-750 MPa, yield strength of 205-215 MPa, and elongation of 40-50%, which gives them durability and flexibility. The hardness of the polished stainless steel bars usually lies between 150-300 HV (Vickers hardness). They are well-suited for use in applications ranging from aesthetics to high-performance operations in any number of industries because of their finish and these properties.
