Stainless steel forged bars and rods contain a minimum percentage of iron. They are chromium alloyed 10-30%, nickel 8-20%, with minor molybdenum, manganese, silicon, and carbon. Grades are usually 304, with an 18% content of chromium, 8% of nickel, while grade 316 has a chromium content of 16-18%, 10-14% nickel, and 2-3% of molybdenum. The most resistant to corrosion of all alloys. Mechanical properties include tensile strength up to 2000 MPa, yield strength in the range of 250-1000 MPa, and elongation up to 40%. Stainless steel also has good hardness, toughness, and fatigue resistance, making it suitable for high-stress applications in various industries such as aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing.

The typical lifespan of stainless steel forged bars varies based on usage, environment, and maintenance but generally lasts 20 to 50 years, with proper care, especially in corrosion-resistant conditions.
Yes, stainless steel forged bars and rods can be customized in size, including diameter, length, and shape, to meet specific requirements for various applications in industries like manufacturing and construction.
Stainless steel forged bars are considered environmentally friendly due to their recyclability, durability, and resistance to corrosion. They have a long lifespan, reducing the need for frequent replacements and minimizing waste.
Stainless steel forged bars and rods have application in most industrial fields, from their strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Common applications cover heavy duty equipment, parts of automotive industries, aerospace, and marine. They cover most of the shafts, gears, valves, pumps, and fasteners in the production process. Their excellent mechanical properties are magnificent for high-stress environments, such as those found in power plants and oil rigs. Stainless steel rods and bars are more important in building, chemical treatment, and medical appliances where durability and strong resistance to heavy wear and the extreme temperatures offer longevity.
